- Visa for exchange students staying less than 6-month (for one semester)
- If you would like to visit other countries during your stay in Taiwan, applying for a Multiple Visa will be better.
- If you don’t plan to go abroad when you are in Taiwan, you just need a Single Visa.
- NCCU will provide you immigration documents for visa extension to at most 6 months. Please note that it is NOT possible to change a Single Visa to a Multiple one in Taiwan.

- Visa for exchange students staying more than 6-month (for one academic year):
- Please review the visa application details in Taiwan Mission Office in your country. https://www.boca.gov.tw/sp-foof-countrylp-01-2.html and apply for a “Resident Visa”.
- Within 30 days from the next day of your arrival in Taiwan, please apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at https://coa.immigration.gov.tw/coa-frontend/student/entry?lang=en.

- Visa-Exempt Entry
- We recommend all students applying for a visa to Taiwan.
- If you wish to come with “Visa-Exempt Entry”, please read all rules carefully at https://www.boca.gov.tw/cp-149-4486-7785a-2.html
- For international exchange students who wish to travel to China, please be advised that there is no Chinese Consular Office in Taiwan, so please do apply for the Chinese Visa before you come to Taiwan.
- For students who hold a HK or Macau passport, please visit https://coa.immigration.gov.tw/coa-frontend/overseas-honk-macao for Entry Permit application.
- For students from Mainland China, we will apply for your Entry Permit respectively.
