I arrived at India’s Rajiv Gandhi Airport, a new airport with very good facilities, and then did a one - hour trip by cab to get to the university. To give students an idea on how modern the airport is, here is a photo (taken online) of the full view of the airport:
I was not surprised by the size of the university since I already looked it up. However, I was still amazed the first time I saw the university. The campus was majestic and grand, in contrast to universities in other countries where modern architecture is often used. ISBs buildings had that very Indian architectural feel.
I was very happy to have chosen the quad room over a studio apartment. It was very comfortable, and convenient. The apartment had very good facilities, and the campus had everything so I did not have to go outside the campus because everything I needed was already provided on-campus. I had to live with three local ISB students, all female (the student village housing does not have co-ed apartments). It was a rewarding experience to live with the locals because it gave me deeper insights to Indian culture and allowed me to have the “full experience” during my stay in India.
