Experience the life of a tea farmer firsthand, learning the art of tea picking and appreciating the delicate flavors of Taiwanese tea. Join us to have a closer look at local Taiwanese culture and learn how to make your own tea.
After your tea-picking adventure, immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Taiwanese arts and culture at the renowned National Center for Traditional Arts.
This is a must-visit destination during your exchange, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture before starting your new life in Taiwan. This expansive 24-hectare complex is nestled beside the picturesque Dongshan River in Yilan. Beyond its impressive displays and performances of traditional arts, the center provides a platform for contemporary artists to showcase their creativity. With a focus on preserving, innovating, and revitalizing traditional arts, visitors can explore captivating exhibits, enjoy enchanting music, and even participate in artistic workshops.
To conclude the day, we will visit the vibrant Luodong Night Market. Indulge in a variety of traditional Taiwanese snacks and explore a wide range of shopping options, from clothing and accessories to unique souvenirs. Renowned as one of Taiwan’s largest night markets, Luodong offers a lively atmosphere perfect for shopping and dining.

- Due to limited seats and insurance regulations by the Taiwan Government, we will NOT accept on-site sign-ins and will not accept on-site tour cancellations unless you got Covid-19 or having a fever.
- Once you've signed up, we aim to keep things streamlined without any need for changes or extra paperwork.
In the event of inclement weather, the tea-picking activity will be replaced by a traditional candy-making workshop. Learn the art of crafting Dragon’s Beard Candy, a beloved Chinese sweet with a fascinating history dating back to the Han Dynasty. Enjoy the challenge of creating this delicate treat, once reserved for royalty, and experience a unique aspect of Taiwanese culture.
